Contrary to popular belief, going for "custom made carpets" or "bespoke carpeting" is not in most cases so much more expensive than choosing an equivalent stock carpet.

From a certain carpet quantity, and specially when dealing within hotel projects, it is in fact not only cheaper but even more suitable to have "custom made" carpets manufactured.

Only the timing element (and accordingly the requested delivery time) and your spokesperson's own knowledge as experience within the field of custom made carpets (and consequently their client list) will make that “proper difference" to let you successfully "customize" your project.

Within custom made carpets manufacturing, minimum quantity will vary, mainly according to the following factors :

 

• Manufacturing process (Axminster or Wilton weaving, Colortec technology, graphic tufting)
  
• Design complexity
  
• Number of colors within a design (for example 5 colors could be use for a standard jacquard wilton weave but 16 would be possible using an electronic axminster loom)
  
• Design repeat size and manufacturing width

Nevertheless, using our most common widths, our minimum weave quantities are as follows :

• ± 50m² in narrow widths: 0,60m (24’) 0,69m, 0,70m(27’’) / 0,91m (36’’or 3’) / 1m (3’3’’) on Wilton looms
  
• ± 100m² in narrow widths : 1,20m (4’) 1,40m (4’7’’) on Wilton looms
  
• ± 200m² in broadloom : 4m (13’1’’) on wilton jacquard looms and 4m50 (15') on Wilton looms for plain carpets
  
• ± 300m² in broadloom : 4m (13’1’’) on Axminster looms
  
  - with the exception of Flexiweave® where we can weave your custom carpets with a minimum of 100m² only if you are using colours selected from our 16 colours palette
  
  
• ± 300m² in broadloom : 4m (13’1’’) for Colortec carpets manufacturing process
  
• ± 400m² in broadloom : 4m (13’1’’) for tufted carpets

Any custom carpet project begins its live as a design concept...Clients, Designers or specifiers usually supply us with anything from a simple sketch or a simple idea to detailled specification regarding colours, layout or area to be carpeted size.

• Conseil et assistance aux choix de la qualité et du procédé technique les plus adaptés à un projet précis
  
  

• Une fois le dessin déterminé, les coloris choisis, la qualité décidée : soumission dans un premier temps de prints informatiques établis en fonction du (des) dessin(s) et des coloris choisis. Ces prints peuvent être réalisés à différentes échelles et sont en fait des simulations informatiques qui permettent souvent d’effectuer une première sélection.
  
• Réalisation d’échantillons témoins (gratuits et réalisés sur machine spéciale à échantillons) qui présenteront sur le plan du dessin et des coloris l’aspect du rendu réel de la moquette finale. Ces témoins sont d’ailleurs toujours nécessaires pour approbation avant mise en fabrication.
